You don't need to purchase the Authentication Server source code in order to be able to run the Authentication Server on your own Web Server or issue and authentication licenses.

Customers usually choose to purchase the source code for one of two reasons:

a. They want the security of owning the complete source code for their licensing solution. In this case they generally also purchase the source code for the License Tracker application.

b. They want to make modifications to the way the Authentication Server works. If the modifications they wish to make affect the web service interface that License Tracker uses then they may also need to purchase the License Tracker source code.
