Hey guys,
I recently purchased both ILS and IPN.net, to use with my commercial website where I will be selling my product digitally, with the customer perusing my licensing page, and then clicking buy now - being taken to paypal, making the purchase, receiving an email with their serial key (generated, stored and retreived from ILS) and the link to the download page for the product.
All this seemed super easy with this software, but I'm sort of lost on where to start with setting it all up. I know, I know, you must get threads like this all the time and are probably peeved, but I suppose I just want conformation really.
So I have my authentication server setup, with the folders in the right place. That's fine, I can access that from it's url. Not sure what to do with it now though.
Is there anyone who can help me set this up, so when someone purchases my product, ILS generates a serial key, emails it to the customer, and their information is put into a database.
I've looked through the help documentation and i just don't know where to start with it all!
Some guidelines would be great, perhaps even a screenshot or two?
Sorry to be so noobish.
Thanks to all who reply! |

Have you got the licensing side of things working? ie can you generate a license key in License Tracker and install it for your application. If not then this is the first thing to get working. The Getting Started section of the ILS help (under Task Based Help) gives step by step instructions.
Setting up IPN.NET to issue keys for you automatically is a bit more complicated (mainly because you have to deal with PayPal and need to do a bit of web programming). Again the Getting Started section of the IPN.NET Server is a good place to start.
While I could try to outline all the steps required any general advice I post here would be less complete then the steps in the help - so the best advice I can give you is to following these guides and if you have specific issues you can't figure out then post them here. _________________ Infralution Support |

everytime I make a purchase or use the IPN test tool, it all seems to work, and then I get the "Error Processing PAyment" Email.. Not of course, the one that would contain the serial key.
Is there any common reasons why you would get sent the error processing payment email, even though using an actual paypal account to test, and those payments going through, and I'm even getting a paypal receipt lol.. But then about 10 seconds after I've made the payment, I then receive the Payment Error email..
I feel like I'm so close to completing this lol, so again guys, your help would be mahoosively appreciated! |

Are you only receiving an error email on the customer email? You should also receive an email on the account your configured to receive notifications. This should include an attachment with full details of the error. If you did not receive this email it probably indicates that you have entered an incorrect email address for this (as your server email seems to be working). You can check this in the License Tracker IPN.NET > Configure Server dialog.
You can also turn on debug tracing for the server (as described in the help section "Deploying the IPN.NET Server" under the sub-section debugging the deployed IPN.NET Server. This will let you check that IPN.NET is receiving posts from PayPal and see any errors that occur. _________________ Infralution Support |
