After I defined the the 'Sale Import' on the Distributor, the license tracker started to try to import the Xml Sales notifications.
However I get an error saying:

The following error occurred while importing:

The product reference (Business Rules Manager) could not be resolved to a product.

Do you want to continue importing?

Yes No


I did define a product called 'Business Rules Manager', but that did not resolve the issue.

The sales notification is from the IPN Test Tool.
Does the import verify the generated license? Anybody has an idea how I should setup the product reference correctly?

You have to define the product reference used by the distributor to identify the product. In this case it looks like the distributors reference is just the product name ie "Business Rules Manager". To define the product reference open the Distributors Tab in License Tracker and expand the distributor to display the Product References for each defined product. You can then just enter the Product References.
