|

Hi
What about storing a "backup" copy of the evaluation info in a (hidden) file in addition to registry keys? I know that with the "right" tools is easy to reset this info anyway, but this trick can rise the security bar a little more.
Thank you. |

We use variable registry keys to store the evaluation data - so even if someone locates and resets the registry key once using a tool like regmon they can't share this information with the less technically able and they will have to find the location each time they reset. This is much harder to do with files. Our feeling would probably be that if someone has the technical skill to locate the registry entry they will probably also locate the file entry. But it something we will consider. _________________ Infralution Support |
