Hi
The new version 4 is BIG step forward in the right direction: good!
Anyway, there is just one little thing missing : the ability to retrive the date from the Internet (using the Network Time Protocol) for tracking evaluation period (the days-based one, of course).
You could give the developer the option to choose this new method, the old "local time" method or to fall back to the "local time" method if the NTP one fails.
Optionally, the evaluation period could be tracked from the server, virtually eliminating any tampering. |

We'll have a think about your suggestion. Tracking the evaluation period from the Authentication server would probably be the best option if you were going to do this. The downside however is that it would require an internet connection for you to be able to run the application in evaluation mode. Maybe this is OK for certain products/scenarios. _________________ Infralution Support |

This I think is a good idea because then the user can have a choice of to use local time or NTP method so if the scenario is right then they can use NTP then if the product is likely to be used on a pc with no internet they can choose to use the local time method. _________________ M.Carpenter
