I evaluate 2.3.2.0. On a machine with .net 2.0 installed I try to use automatic translation with google and a non user friendly error occurs telling me that .net 3.5 is required for some script functionality. I assume Globalizer tries to query the Google service using Ajax scripting support which is not available in .Net 2.0 ?

You are right - .NET 3.5 is a pre-requisite for Google translation. However it is not required for Bing translation or any other functions of Globalizer.NET (unless you are translating applications that themselves use .NET 3 or 4). We don't therefore wish to force users to install .NET 3.5 or later. We will see if we can improve the error message that you get in this case.

The simplest solution is to disable Google translation in case the app detects that it does run within a .net runtime which does not provide the required support functionailty. Or even remove the menu option in that case. What do you think about this suggestion ?

I had thought of this option - however it may be better to give an error message so that the user can be informed about what to do if they want to use Google translate (ie install .NET 3.5).
