|
|
Hi
in the past I often got contacted by the translation company that their translaters are not able to save the file. They got the message it is readonly.
I would like to see that Globalizer if it detects that error that it provides an option to remove it before it saves to that file.
Would improve user experience a lot.
Kind regards

I understand why you might want this - but I'm not sure whether just removing the read-only flag and overwriting the file would be "best practice". It would mean that you may accidently overwrite files that you thought were protected. I don't think that Microsoft Word does that (I think it it also reports an error) when you try to save to a readonly file. _________________ Infralution Support |

What if you press save, globalizer detects that it is readonly and ask if it should remove the flag to save correctly? So it is up to the user.
I what this mainly for users that have no idea how to remove such a flag manually. The last weeks have shown me that translators are often not very confident with their computers
You are right such a simple way to remove it would prevent that I ask myself why it is readonly and look for it. |
